Pocket 4s hits the set. How far will you push?

Set mining against an early raiser when both players have decent stacks can work out well or sometimes costly. When you hit the set on the flop but the flop also brings an Ace and a King how far will you push your set?

Set mining with 2s

Set mining can be profitable but you need to make sure there is enough money available to make it worthwhile.  When the set doesn't come on the flop (which it usually won't) then you want to see the turn card cheap (or for free is even better).  In this end the turn card gives flushes and straights or draws to the table.  How would you play the turn card?

Why you should play your good hands aggressively

Limping with a small pair in 6 max can prove profitable.  Hitting a full house on the flop is something of a dream.  But there is usually a good reason to play your good hands aggressively since there are few hands that can't be beaten when there are more cards to come.   What should the hero have done on the flop?  Should he have called the raise on the turn card?  How would you have played the hand?

How would you get max value from your full house?

Sometimes when you play small pairs you get the flop of dreams. But who would call your bets and how do you get maximum value?

Set mining with a small pair

Should you call a 3 bet with a small pair?  What about in a 3 way pot?  Do you fold the flop if you don't hit your sit?  Wait for the turn card?  One of the villians is completely new to you. The other is VP 33 and PF 17% of hands.

A bad call with the lowest set?

Hitting a set with your small pair is great.  This villian has played 58 hands against you and has figures of VP 53% and PF 13%.  That's a wide range to hit this flop. He gets very aggressive on the river with AF figures of 2/1/1/5. How would you play this hand?
